1799 Captain Elijah Cobb House Renovation

The Brewster Historical Society is a privately funded non-profit. With generous donations and fundraising efforts the BHS has restored, maintained and made available to the public these Brewster historic buildings: Higgins-Farm Windmill, Hopkins Blacksmith Shop, and Harris-Black House at the Windmill Village, 773 Main St. and the Cobb House Museum at 739 Lower Rd.
The BHS is a Section 501 (C)(3) Non-profit organization. Donations are tax deductible as permitted by law.

 

The Brewster Historical Society purchased the Captain Elijah Cobb House on February 17, 2015, restoring and renovating the historic house, adapting it for use as its museum and offices, The Society is proud to at long last offer the Sea Captains Town, as Brewster is called, its first sea captain’s home open to the general public, and to preserve the legacies of two of its most significant citizens.
