on his property on Long Pond Road.

The Brewster Historical Society was established over forty-five years ago to: “Create and foster an interest in the history of the Town of Brewster; to promote historical research; to preserve historic structures; to collect and preserve documents and artifacts, and to provide for their custody”.

The Museum

Located in a mid-19th C homestead, the main building houses
four permanent galleries, a special exhibits gallery
and archives which are available to researchers.
By appointment, during winter months.

Claire Gradone - "Baseball: Then and Now" presentation

Claire Gradone is the Director of Children's Services at the Brewster Ladies Library and also serves on the Board of Directors of the Cape Cod Baseball League.
The League is the premiere collegiate summer league in the country, established in 1885, attracting ballplayers from the best baseball programs in the nation. Hundreds of alumni have gone on to play in the major leagues.
"Where the stars of tomorrow shine tonight" is the motto of the league.
Claire formerly served as President of the Cape Cod League.

by Brenda Oliver, a direct descendant of the original blacksmith with music and refreshments.

Ongoing demonstrations by Blacksmith, Peter Hirst and Tinsmith, Tim Dibble.
In addition, there will be demonstrations by local colonial craftsman at the Higgins Farm Windmill and the Harris Black House along with music and good cheer!

The Higgins Farm Windmill, Harris-Black House and Hopkins Blacksmith Shop.
All located on the Drummer Boy Grounds, 773 Main Street, West Brewster.
